Masterpieces from the Operettas

January 19, within the Days of Hungarian Culture at the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory a magical concert "Masterpieces from the Operettas" took place, including participation of leading soloists of the Budapest and Moscow Operetta Theatre.

Conductor of the performance – a laureate of international competitions, winner of the Audience Choice Award at the competition of Imre Kalman in Budapest Ksenia Zharko.

The concert was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the creation of the most famous works of Imre Kalman's "The Queen of Czardas". The music from this brilliant operetta is known all over the world. In Russia, it has a different name – "Silva".

Wonderful operetta melodies, as well as fragments of other works by Kalman, Franz Lehar, and Bela Zerkovits and Pal Abraham, were presented by a female Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ksenia Zharko. This orchestra is unique, because there are only girls in it. Beautiful, in elegant dresses, they masterfully plays any instruments! Bass, tuba, saxophone and drums perfectly sound in the orchestra.



On her birthday, staying at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Ksenia has once again demonstrated her talent and character.
To congratulate with the birthday, there came members of the business club "Business Partnership", a member of which Ksenia had been since its foundation.

Bright performance of the best cascade pair in Europe – Károly Peller, laureate of international contests, and Sylvia Sandy, and one of the first pairs of Hungarian operetta – Zholt Vodas and Anita Lukas – caused a storm of applause.

Their Moscow colleagues Pavel Ivanov and Anna Novikova also showed the highest performance. Hall applauded.



Temperamental energy of the evening created a feeling of joyful celebration and let everyone feel the true beauty of Hungarian operetta – a single theatrical genre, awarded the status of Hungary symbol and pride of the Hungarian people.
